Naegleria featured in Pulse Magazines "Up and Comers"

"Naegleria, a fresh-off-the-vine death metal band that gigs in the Worcester and Boston area, takes metal intensity to a different level. Their energy is high, their songs are tight and their drive is wild. But guitarist Rayne Purcell slipped up during a Pulse interview and revealed one hell of a dirty secret: Naegleria sounds scary, but they’re all guys you totally want to take home to meet mom." - Tine Roycroft

Recording Our First EP

Well after months of talk, we're actually going to record a full length EP. This week we are tracking drums, and next week we are doing guitars and bass. I am extremely pumped to record this cause this will be extremely huge to Naegleria's success. Once people start getting the EP, we're going to start sending it out to people.

First Blog of 2011!

and I am ashamed!

I have not kept this up to date since... December 18th I think? Well anyway I'm going to keep posting blogs about my band and me. This year I think I'll go a tad personal with my thoughts and views on things. Time to make this blog a bit more interesting.

Club Oasis

So last night Naegleria played an incredible show at Club Oasis with Shabti, Forced Asphyxiation, Scaphism, and Coffin Birth. Probably the sickest show we've played so far. Every band that played was extremely brutal, and the best part is that they were all really nice guys, couldn't ask for better metal musicians, haha.

I think we did and excellent job last night. We got some great cheers, we had a descent crowd, some people were moving in the pit. It was an over all great night for the Brothers of the Green.

Scaphism was just fucking awesome. Slamming in the pit to those guys was probably the best part of that night. Incredible musicians, and really nice guys. Naegleria is definitely going to play with those guys again.

So Next, The Palladium December 28th with Necronomichrist, Hivesmasher, Pathogenic, Composted, and Nemicide. It's going to be a brutal one.

Oh and by the way, If you haven't picked up the Boarcorpse/Composted/Scaphism split... GET IT NOW, it's killer.

Stay Brutal,
Jake.

Promo's and other Junk

Naegleria got some Incredible Promo's done last night by amazing Photographer (and best pal) Lindsey Marble. More will be posted on facebook and myspace in about a week.

Matt is out of the Hospital and recovering well. Scar Tissue was found on his heart from an Infection that he got months ago, and apparently never went away. We jammed with him last night, and his beats couldn't sound any better. :D

Stickers will be here soon, black and white logo. They are pretty sick. And we're are also looking for screen printing stuff so we can make our own shirts (much cheaper).

Stay Tuned for more Naegleria news!

Jake.

The Goreality and Naegleria Show

Well from facebook posts and such, We actually did the the show with Goreality and Possessed Entity, in New Bedford at Marshall's Pub. I (and the band thinks) think that we payed our best show that night, and It was incredible.

Possessed Entity played first, and they were really cool. A bit of an old school sound with extreme vocals, I was diggin'. The we came on, and we just rocked the shit out of Marshall's Pub, and we got a pretty good reaction out of the crowd. Goreality was last and they slammed so fucking hard. Most Definitely the best band we've played with so far. The little pit that was going was pretty great too, haha. It was just a really fun night.

Stay Brutal,
Jake.
